The Global Wicca Summit
September 4th -10th, 2018
The Global Wicca Summit will be a Teleconference, focused on the central question and theme “Wicca as a Global Faith”. The Global Wicca Conference will be a conversation using transmedia tools, to share and collaborate on understanding our Wiccan community.
Global Wicca Summit will have a central hub on Thedailyspell.com/GWS
Purpose of The Global Wicca Summit:
The primary purpose is to provide our community with an understanding of who we are and the many facets of our commonly identified faith. As Wiccans, we represent a faith that has been honored and respected to serve in the highest interfaith bodies of the world, and we want to deepen our understanding.
This conference is being held ahead of the 7th Parliament of the World’s Religions, where our leadership plans to attend, interact, and participate actively in the interfaith efforts taking place around the world. To better understand the community, we are hosting this cyberconference, allowing a truly open discussion, making connections and networking worldwide.
Why Wicca and not Pagan?
As hosts, we are Wiccans, and while we are also Pagan, we represent ourselves as Wiccans first. The Parliament recognizes Wicca in its own right, as best represented by the actions of Lady Phyllis Curott. While we are Pagan, we can only speak first to our own faith, and then our own experiences. The Global Wicca Summit will allow us a miracle of experiencing our community in an amazing new way. We can speak to Wicca and build our understanding, which allows us to share openly during Interfaith Ministry opportunities. We are looking to seek out awe and wonder of what Wicca looks like.
How will the Conference Work?
Our flagship will be Pagans Tonight Radio Network, with our nightly broadcasts, which will host three hours nightly live. This will allow for panels, discussions, and questions in a very real and personal way. From there, CEM (Correllian Education Ministry) will use all of their Cyberminsitry tools to provide communication and connection across multiple platforms and by many participants. We will offer information on each platform thorough our hub page TheDailySpell.com/GWS
How can I attend?
Since this is a global cyberconference, just be anywhere you connect with your devices. We are using TheDailySpell.com/GWS as our hub page which can direct you wherever you want to go in the conference. The event is free, and some platforms may require you be registered to participate. In this way you will be able to listen, view, comment, share, and interact with what we anticipate will be a truly global audience.
How can I participate as Speaker/Panel?
Reach out to us through email@example.com and let us know what you want to speak about, what type of platform, and how you want to connect. As we review the platforms for our participants, this offers the many places in which you can help us create a great event. This is a collective and collaborative action.
Do I need to be Wiccan to participate?
No, we as part of the larger Interfaith question we are presenting want to learn as much as possible from as many points of view as possible. There is great value in differences from the Pagan, Magickal, and Religious frameworks. Our only requirement that it answers the theme of “Wicca as a Global Faith”.
Themes and Questions Seeking Answers:
“Wicca as a Global Faith” is our core theme
The central question “Is Wicca a global faith?”
We are looking to answer this, more so than anything else. This is a frame in which we can at least look at ourselves in a way that will provide answers to our nature. We are open to as many different points and subjects as we can find presenters.
Potential Subjects we are seeking:
What Wicca offers the world?
Wicca and the Mainstream Media
Future of Publishing of Wicca
Establishing Community on Local, Regional, National and/or International Level.
Wicca in a millennial generation
Is Wicca really Pagan?
How involved is Magic within Wicca?
We are also accepting Wicca in as many languages as possible.
Panels, Presentations from all nations are requested.
We are able to coordinate in two languages, English and Spanish.
How did the Global Wicca Summit come to be?
The Correllian Tradition has had a member involved with the Parliament of the World’s Religions, representing us at many levels since 1991, originally as a volunteer, presenter, and reporter. Ed Hubbard has always been asking what makes a major faith, and how to participate in how the world works. His journey led him to create communication tools that have connected a community across the world, reaching millions of people, based on Paganism and particularly, Wicca.
In 2009, Ed made a commitment at the Parliament to having a greater impact in the world, to lead to ways to be a global faith as a Wiccan. The idea of Paganism as an umbrella did not include easily the Wiccan faith. In 2015 Parliament, The Vice-Chair Phyllis Curott represented herself as Wiccan and the event was Earth-based and Feminine Divinity strong. Following this, Ed wanted to share and communicate with the world, to see what the global Wiccan community truly looks like. In 2018, he finally has the tools to create the channels needed to have a global conversation in real time, that transcends space and distance.
At the Correllian Lustration 2016, He offered his vision of Cyberministry, which included how to host an online conference and festival, allowing for a global event. Following this, The Correllian Education Ministry agreed to host the conference on their platforms, based on Ed’s Cyberminstry plan. This is the first cyberconference based on these principles, of unlimited access, focused openness, deep transparency, and collective content creation.
Since 2016, The Correllians have developed the conference requirements, under the leadership of Lori Blackman, acting as Correllian Press Secretary, and the primary organizer of the event. She is supported by a great team including Pam Kelly and Elizabeth Hamilton. Now they are beginning to expand the team and start scheduling events across the many platforms.
Once completed, the Summit will offer a tangible view, based on facts, friendships, and real world conversations, of what our global community is and can be. In this way, as we attend the 7th Parliament we work from a place of knowledge and wisdom, of what we truly need as a faith from the world, and what our gifts offer to the world. That is a powerful space to self-awareness and offering unlimited love and understanding from which to listen from. We want to hear your voice.

Live and Recorded Meetings and Panels
The core group will be hosting events that allow us to record panels and discussions, using some standard materials which we can provide, as well as new information. This process has already begun, and we will be able to add all summer long.
We honor Abby Willowroot and her Goddess 2000 project, which inspires us to use the internet as a way to host local meetings, that add to a collective whole. We are looking for people who want to host these meetings, record them, allowing us to post them during the event. We also hope some will broadcast them live during the event, which will allow for live interaction. Again, this must be from personal inspiration and looking to share in a true global conversation. This is the largest wildcard factor within this project, of participation.
