You Altars...

Many people in different cultures celebrate and use altars. At different times of the year we all celebrate the seasons but even so, we take time out for these celebrations to give respect to those we call our deity. The expressions we put into our alters also shows what is in our hearts. We as people need to share and become a community that expresses our devotion to our deities or deity.

Hello all. Merry Meet. I just joined and I wanted to tell you about my alter. Not only do I have the one on top of my fireplace but I am making a witches cave in the basement for my new alter room. Yes it is my craft room as well; but it is a dedicated alter room too. I hope it stays as pure as possible. I have my candles and crystals down there already. I hope it turns out great. Blessed Be all.

I did the Spring Equinox and I do have a photo of my shrine that I took. I've changed things up and put my new matron deity, Athena, on it. I have another altar for Artemis. Love those Greek Gods.

I am getting ready to color some blown eggs for my Ostara alter. I've never managed to actually celebrate Ostarta. I think it's because I have a difficult time seperating it from the christian Easter. But I am determined this year to celebrate it for all it's worth... and I plan on finally getting a few pictures. Hopefully that works out

I really had fun with Imbolc earlier this week. However the holder that I bought for it shattered. I saw that it was for what I needed and it turned out that they had put the wrong discription for it. Sigh, well I ordered a new one, and it should be in in-time for the Spring Equinox...I hope.
