You Altars...

Many people in different cultures celebrate and use altars. At different times of the year we all celebrate the seasons but even so, we take time out for these celebrations to give respect to those we call our deity. The expressions we put into our alters also shows what is in our hearts. We as people need to share and become a community that expresses our devotion to our deities or deity.

I am very excited to see others' altars. I love how different they all are just like the people who create them. I cannot wait to build mine (once I figure out the design and wood I want to use) Thank you RuthAnna for creating this group :) Look forward to seeing photos and comments from everyone. Blessed Be, everyone.

I have a collections of crystals and charms that I wear on a silver chain around my neck and consider this my personal, wearable shrine.
I'm reading a wonderful book called 'Altars and Icons' by Jean McMann. Anyone else read this? It's a beautiful collection of photos and stories of altars and shrines.
I love this group. Thank You for the invite Rev. RuthAnna!
I'm in the process of creating a shrine to the Divine Mother and loving every minute of it!

Rev. RuthAnna thank you for the invite to the group. I am of the same opinion - Everything, Everywhere and Everyone is sacred. We create Altars and Sacred Places personally to honor or give tribute.
