You Altars...

Many people in different cultures celebrate and use altars. At different times of the year we all celebrate the seasons but even so, we take time out for these celebrations to give respect to those we call our deity. The expressions we put into our alters also shows what is in our hearts. We as people need to share and become a community that expresses our devotion to our deities or deity.

I am showing a small portion of the earth. As we learn each special place we grow into loving it all.

There are a lot of lovely pictures on here but none as beautiful as the one of the whole Earth. we have many power places on the planet. but the whole Mother Earth is sacred. Peace

I love the idea behind this group! I am such a fan of altar creation, I think that for some people (like me!) altar building and planning is a form of dedication and personal meditation in and of itself - I will be creating a discussion to post my pix! BB

This is in the graham mountains in Arizona, it was a special and sacred place. The Apache considered it very sacred place to be. My mother thought it as her own sacred place
