Jami I understand completely! My son is 12 and my mom is Catholic. She trys so hard to bring him to the light. He wants nothing to do with it. My 10 yr old daughter has not been pushed and she is leaning more towards Christanity. She is no where near sure yet.

That's so true Jami. The more my parents pushed the Baptist church on my son, the more he wanted nothing to do with it. Children have the right to choose when they become of age. I know I've said I'm teaching them the Correllian path, but I guess I need to say that I'm showing them different ways and it's ok to be whatever you want.

I have 3 children at home...the oldest being 14. needless to say this is a very interesting time for her spiritually. She has finally become aware that it is a personal path, and maybe understands why there where so many different kinds of stories and holidays growing up. She will be coming in to her own in the coming years. My two younger children 5 and 7, have both been dedicated in an Egyptian chosen ritual. they are taught as my oldest was, without the years of church-going with their grandparents...but I teach all faiths...and practice my own. I suppose the closest thing to call me would be simply ecclectic.....i teach my children that no one can take away your belief's, just as no one can push a belief system on you, and kharma will visit if you attempt the same. Study, become aware...then decide for yourself...even if it takes just a few things from many different traditions......tis as individual as the person.

I am the proud mother of three sons. Karjan, age 20, (he follows the Shinto pathway), Bobbie, almost 3 and Christopher, 14 months. Bobby is my 'destroyer of altars.' I can't keep one up, he wrecks it and 'rearranges it'. The God/Goddess laughs at me. Chris loves chanting and claps and squeals throughout. My husband is so supportive of me teaching the boys the Correllian path. I'm already telling the boys stories from "Circle Round" and a few I made up.

I'm so excited to see that a group like this exists. My son is sixteen months old and we have been teaching him the names of items on our family altar as a way of getting him familiar with the objects. =)
