Kundalini Wicca

I have started this group to pass on what I and my Kundalini friends have experienced, during their Awakening. My aim is to help my fellow Wiccans understand how Kundalini Energy and Awakening is available to all on the Wiccan Path. I will mention other aspects of Kundalini as in Kundalini Reiki, Kundalini Yoga & the Chakras. I may use the words Goddess, God, Energy & Life Force to explain our 'Creator' and the spark of the Divine which runs through us all.

A lot of people ask me how I know if an animal has brought totem wisdom medicine. My experience today is the perfect example of a true totem visit. (If you read my previous post this morning, I want to assure those of you reading this one that I was not under the influence of anything stronger than an early morning cup of caffeinated coffee.)

I took my lunch out to eat on the beach. (Its clear and 81 in Crescent Beach, FL) As soon as I sat down, I noticed a lone seagull nearby. This was odd because you never see just one seagull.

So I says to the bird, “Don’t even think about it. You are not getting any of my lunch. You’ll call all your friends and I’ll have to move my chair.” Of course, after a few minutes, I didn’t see any other gulls in sight, so I tossed her a bite of chicken. She didn’t make a peep so we shared the rest of my lunch with no pesky intruders.

Several times flocks of gulls flew low overhead and squawked, as if inviting her to join them, but (even after the food was long gone) she stayed right by my side. Now, I have been around seagulls my whole life and never once considered one my totem animal guide, but I knew this feathered friend had some medicine for me.

David Abrams, in the book, Becoming Animal, writes of ways to get into an animal’s mind/body/psyche. I was in no hurry so I decided to try a guided visualization with Seagull as my guide.

I settled back on my lounge chair, closed my eyes, and visualized a swirling, blue vortex. This is how I open my chakras before meditation. Blue opens the third eye chakra which opens us up to ‘other worldly’ communications. I imagined myself traveling into this swirling portal.

Soon, I had the sensation of flying and I could see waves, the horizon, and clouds floating behind my closed eyelids. The ocean sounds and salty breeze was really happening and I’m sure the setting enhanced the realness of the visualization.

My perception changed and I was down at wave level watching them build and crash all around me, then the waves themselves became a vortex. I was aware of this new opportunity and visualized myself traveling into this new portal wondering what was over there.

First, I saw a big green leaf cascading down a waterfall, then the scenery became lush, tropical green, like in the jungle. My perception changed again and I was trying to figure out what I was seeing. It was like I was up close, inside a flower for a while. I thought of a bee sipping nectar.

Then, I was back in the jungle and knew exactly where I was. I was in a boat with my daddy and we had gone way up in one of the tributaries of the St. Johns River. I hadn’t thought about those fishing trips in many years. Cutting the boat motor and using a paddle to push our way through that hot, sticky, dark, quiet, still water was my favorite thing to do as a child. It was good to be there with Daddy again.

When I came out of my ‘trance’ there she was, within a few feet of my chair. I thanked her for the trip and when I finally left the beach, she was still there. I sat up on the boardwalk watching until she finally flew away.

To thank Seagull for coming into my life, I will make her a candle, add her to my totem pole, honor her at ritual, and invite her to my birthday party. 2015 has been a very good year.

Have been meditating for a long long time. Been doing Samadhi now as well. I enjoy the movement of the mighty snake and have been able to work with it to a certain extent. Very interested in learning more :)

Blessed Be <3
