I was raised Roman Catholic. As a child in Spain, where I was born, I was fed up with the Catholic School nuns who punished me day in and day out because I always challenged them with questions. In high school in the US I was called a heretic and given detention because I asked questions in religious studies. After my divorce I found myself in the hospital and the Catholic priest skipped my bed when giving out communion because I was divorced. One Sunday, at mass when it was time to show one another the sign of peace and shake hands with the person behind me that person ignored me, and when it was time for the eucharist a woman who knew my ex and was helping the priest give out communion whispered in the priest's ear and when it was my turn he refused to give me communion. I lost it and told the priest to show me where in the commandments or the bible does it say that a divorced woman who has lived a celibate life can not receive communion? I was escorted out by two mwn and since that day the only time I returned to church was for my sister in law's funeral. I met a couple of witches who told me that I was a witch. For many years I was in denial until a pentagram appeared on my left hand formed by the natural lines of my hand. I went to the New York Witch Festival and it was there that I found a beautiful amethyst pendulum that started to move as soon as I placed my hand underneath it. I have read books and contacted others who have gone through the transition of being Christian or Roman Catholic and have embraced Wicca. The reason it is important to me is because I am curious to know if the transition was easy or did it take a couple of months? For reasons unknown to me I am very drawn to the Correlian Path and I feel like I have found my way home.

@ Peta Moonbeam, I think most people were, but I for one came from that background. Was studying to be a Christian psychologist and counselor. Why?

Merry Meet To All!
Is there anyone else in the group who was previously Christian or Roman Catholic and has now embraced Correlian Wicca? If there is I'd like to hear from you.
