The Pagan Globetrotter - Issue 5- January NC trip, The trip home

14 January 2012

As I drove away from Eden, North Carolina about noon, the little Global Positioning Sprites in this little box in my trunk decided to take me up Interstate Highway 81, through the Shenandoah Valley in Central Virginia. What an amazing drive!

Growing up a true son of the South, I have ancestors that fought…

The Pagan Globetrotter - Issue 4- January NC trip, part 3

14 January 2012

Well, I had an enjoyable visit with our Correllian friends in Eden, North Carolina. I met with Phoenix Firestar Rising and her husband Jack, and Ashley Laing and her fiancé Kevin, and Ashley Evans. It was a lazy afternoon and evening. We and just talked about stuff, hung out for a while, went to dinner, and then we went back to Phoenix’ house. Since the evening was young, we hung out for a couple more hours, just talking, some of it was talking about our faiths, some…

New Release - Ambrosia

Ambrosia, a selfish woman, used her family to get what she wanted. And what she wanted most was revenge. Returning from the grave she took the opportunity to exact that revenge, a revenge that was satiated in blood.…

The Pagan Globetrotter - Issue 3- January NC trip, part 2

13 January 2012

I am driving through rural North Carolina, headed toward Eden – up north of Greenville – and kind of having flash backs to my growing up. During my growing up years, I always lived just outside of Chattanooga, TN. As I drive, I’m seeing the hardwood stands, the houses, the barns, it’s just making me feel a bit nostalgic. It’s a beautiful country,…

The Pagan Globetrotter - Issue 2 - January NC trip, part 1

I have decided to post recent travels as soon as I can and then use the slow weeks to fill in other previous trips, pictures, and thoughts.

With that in mind, here's the first part of my recent trip to North Carolina...

I recently met with the Pope Bragg Open Circle. Thursday night 12th of January I was honored to be their guest speaker. After introductions and a bit of getting to know each other, we had an open discussion about the Nature of the Divine. We discussed a range of…

A very modern voice ...

Ah, another delightful Dover Thrift Editions book! These gems that can both nudge a sub-$25 on-line order up into the promised land of free shipping, but can also be called upon to pad one's reading totals in months when one is falling short of one's goals (remember, I try very hard to read 72 non-fiction books a…

Getting to the "Plus" ...

Every once in a while I get wind of a book that I'd like to review, and that the publishers haven't seen fit to contact me about (not that I'm “all that” in the reviewing field, but there are a couple of publishers who do have me on their promo lists). Being as I've previously looked at Social Media Guru…

Palm reading also known as Palmistry or Chiromancy

I have just started doing online research on this subject to see if I like it. What I do know about it, which is very little, I think I will learn how to do this. The big problem with relying on the internet to get the info about this is I don't know which is truth and which is false. So please, if any of you know of good sites for the info I'm looking for please let me know!

I am also trying to find pagan and/or wiccan communities and events around where I live, with little success. Again… Continue

Mother Willow Crone· Palatka, Florida

A narrow focus ...

This was a book that I actually got queried about from the good folks at Wiley … since it was evidently a “job search” book, I said “yes”, figuring that it would be good for my The Job Stalker blog over on the Tribune's “ChicagoNow” site. However, Gayle…

Worst Fear Taking Over

Seeing your fears haunt your dreams….

Dreams are a realm to escape from reality….

Twisting innocent dreams into horrifying nightmares…

Light being conquered by darkness…

Making you thinks its true….

Running from faceless people with black tar flowing out where their mouths would be…

Hiding from girls in white porcelain dresses who want to make you their ‘new play toy’

Fearing the man in a tuxedo with razor teeth and a painted face…

This tea party…

What is Happening in Salem for WSI!

Dear Friends,

Blessings! We at Witch School hope that your life is filled with joy and happiness.

Two years ago we moved our central office to Salem MA from Rossville, IL and Chancellor Rev. Don Lewis relocated as well. It was a difficult decision at the time, but we now feel it was a good very choice. The move has allowed us to continue to develop Witch School, and has made more aspects of the school available to the public in even deeper ways. Our move to Salem has allowed us…

Signed up for first class.

Taking the beginning Aromatherapy class and ordered the recommended essential oils for the starter kit. Took over an hour of research, but found a place that has quality for good prices. Spent 55.00 for 5ml and 12ml bottles of the 8 oils. Also printed pages to study and set up and Evernote journal.

I've been studying Wicca on my own for over a year and would like to have more detailed study and meet other Wiccans. I'm am a fiction writer and artist. I'm a mom and am married. Often times strangers tell me secrets or problems without provocation. I am good at listening and giving advice. I would like to learn how to help others with this gift. I am also empathic.

The Goddess has not revealed her name to me, so for now she is the Goddess. I have been waiting for a sign. Birds…

1930s actress Hedy Lamarr - inventor of cellphones, Wi-Fi and GPS

Hedy Lamarr is remembered as a stunning legend in Hollywood's Golden Age. However, most people do not know that she would co-patent the technology for today's cellphones, Wi-Fi and GPS by building a torpedo for the U.S.Navy.

This may have remained the world's best kept secret if it were not for author Richard Rhodes. He had become intrigued with Hedy Lamarr after he finished 30-years of working on a four-volume set about the history of the nuclear age. One of them, "The Making of the…
