It's that time of year again

Every Spring, as herbs become available, I start getting that itch to make my yearly supply of various elixirs.Since my background is primarily Hermetic/Alchemical, I typically stick to the "Seven Basics" or Seven Planetary Elixirs using the Paracelsian Spagyric process. I find that this method of elixir production, though more laborious, creates a much more powerful and profound result.

The Seven Basics or Planetary Herbs that I use are as follows:

Herb            Day        …

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't exspect love in return; Just wait for it to grow in thier heart but if it doesn't be content it…

Farewell Tituba Temple

"Stripped of her pillars, her stays and her stanchions,

When there's only her bones on the wet poison land

Steel ropes will drag her with winches and engines

Till there's only a stain on the sand.

So far from the Clyde

Together we ride... we did ride."

I'm want a girlfriend!

I was thinking the other day about my life, and one thing is missing. This is a girlfriend. I'm sick and tired of being that woman always alone all the time without a mate. I just want girlfriend for me.

The Hunger Games: This is what I thought of it

I was poking around on my Facebook today and I saw that one of my favorite authors posted a new status update: it turns out that VH1 approached her to write a review for the new movie The Hunger Games. But apparently she technically wrote 2- one she submitted to VH1 but the other she didn't due to it's not-so-thrilled-about-all-of-this nature. I'll post the link to that review so you guys can read it, and then I'll give ya my 2 cents on it.…

Triming up the old, planting the new!

Spring has been sprung for over a week now and my seedlings are finally getting big enough to put in their big-plant pots. *Sniff* They grow up so fast!

This is the first year I've actually been able to plant whatever I want. I am celebrating my first spring on my own (Well, I have a room mate but we like, NEVER see each other) and I've been planting a lot of stuff. My roomie has pretty much told me I can do whatever I want with our front and back balconies (we live in a downtown…

One of the best compliments I've ever gotten

This past month I've gotten one of the best compliments from a friend I've ever gotten. It came from my friend Kylea on Ostara.

For Ostara this year I made gifts for everyone I know; I took plastic eggs and filled them with candy, some vegetable seeds, an incense cone, an offering stone and a rune. I was telling her about it via text and she said the following:

You know, I gotta give you a complement lol. The world is full of people who don't really know anything about their so…

Sky-Clad – a relic of the past?

So it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and my U.S. and U.K. brother and sisters are entering the time of life and warmth and growth, while those of us in the Southern Hemisphere enter the long dark of winter.

It occurred to me to wonder – how many Pagans will celebrate Beltane sky-clad this year?

Before I venture into this topic further, a note for anyone reading this that is under the age of 18: no serious group, coven, priest or priestess, or teacher of a Pagan tradition…

Love, Passion & Wicca.

As soon as the month of February starts and the hindu calendar month of ‘phalgun’ begins. The season of love takes its charge. This is the phase which creates desires in each and every soul out there. Desires which may not always find happiness or fulfillment but which still do exist. Tarot card readings for love life or based on relationships; are a staple component in the set of questions for any card reader.

Love and passion are two emotions which make the world go crazy. The…

My Awakening)0(

All my life I knew I was different form others. It wasnt by the color of my skin of anything like that., but it was something on a much deeper level.

For years, my mother had convinced us all that going to Church would be good for us and give us some sort of insight. I had never attended a service before and I was, of course curious. I remember my first time getting to meet the people who went to church and for a long while, everything was fine. The people I had grown to know were very…

My CATastic meeting

So, about a few months ago a cat was crying over and over, everybody was gone but me, I searched all over for it and found it under my house. The poor helpless thing looked as if it had been abused and mistreated. It was crying out but when a person would try to approach it, it would dart off. I knew it wanted love and so I went inside and got a little piece of meat and just took it outside and placed it near the entrance and sat about 25 feet away. It wandered near it, still crying out, but…

Finally Back

After being gone for over a year, I am finally back to my studies. Since beginning college, it has taken me several months to set a schedule to be able to do all of my pagan studies as well as my school studies. I have finally gotten it figured out, though, so I can once again resume my studies at WS. I've been going through and reviewing my past lessons to make sure I didn't forget anything and, surprisingly, I haven't forgotten much. Even though I haven't been…

The Complexities of Tarot

"The Magician card affirms that my alter ego today is the Imagineer or Director, whose superpower is a state-of-the-art design force. By bringing free will and intention together with natural principles, the creative process is transformed into a blueprint for success. The spell is cast, and I don't have to see it to believe it. As a creative wiz, I have what it takes: the presence of mind to do what I do best. I can apply or advance new ideas and entertain new possibilities with…

Bird Talk ...

This was one of those Dollar Store finds … I'd been up at the “new” one (I discovered that there was one straight up the Red Line which didn't involve changing trains) picking up a few things when I found they'd gotten in a new batch of books, and I scored $112 worth (at cover price) for just $5 … gotta love that!…

I Took The Time To Enjoy The Day!

It probably is because I'm getting older but I have decided to just take it more slowly. I'm very fortunate in that I am able to work from home but lately I have been feeling so stressed and so tired that I had just decided to take it more easy! I mean I love my coffee (that I make brewed - none of that instant stuff for me!) but I know that I just can't drink it all day because it makes me jittery and unable to sleep at night!

I took the time this Sunday to just take it slow. Took a…

A thought about me

At the risk of sounding corny and I go!!! XDD

Recently I have taken a test to determine my "strengths" in terms of psychic abilities (if you want to call them that XD) from a book I recently purchased. I found that I am in fact an emotional intuitive, or an empath in combination with a spiritual intuitive as well. What I read in the description kind of startled me because it was quite accurate. I have a tendency to absorb and take on the emotions of others as my own. At…
