Merry Met!

Today has been a wonderful, and productive day. I got all my chores done (cleaning house, paying bills), and looked for fun new recipes to try out tonight. I found one that I was really interested in it is called All Hallow's Eve Dinner-In-A-Pumpkin. Ground beef, rice, green beans, tomato juice, and cabbage. This mixture is put into a pumpkin and cooked for 3-5 hours, or until the pumpkin is soft. Plus cooking the yummy pumpkin seeds. Super excited to try…

Welcome Samhain

Tonight is Samhain and of course there will be trick-or-treating and lots of candy. I feel reflective this Samhain; not for those who have crossed over but for my own life. Lately I have had some major life changes and I know that things are not going to be the same. I seem to be entering a new phase of my life, and it is much needed. I look upon this Samhain with a sense of renewed hope. Letting go of the old to make way for the new is… Continue

Daily Reading for Sunday, 31 October, Year 10 Aq.

Sunday October 31

Today’s reading is:

Seven of Cups

Four of Rods

Five of Swords

Our first card is the Seven of Cups which suggests illusions or misunderstandings about the situations we face: we need to take a closer look at our situations and re-evaluate them, to make sure that we are seeing them as clearly as possible. Next is the Four of Rods, a card that indicates achieving something we have desired and worked for.… Continue

Not that strange ...

This is a book that I “won” back in June via the LibraryThing “early reviewers” program, but did not receive the review copy until just this past week. Obviously, a book that came out in April, featured in June, and delivered in October, has lost a whole lot of the “early”,… Continue

I'm Getting Discouraged...

Merry Meet, everyone, though on my end, it's not so merry.

I've been feeling really discouraged lately. My brain disorder is making my life horrible right about now, and I'm on hold with a psychiatrist who may or may not actually try to help me by prescribing medicine. I hate meds, but they work, even though some of them have weird side-effects. I'm no stranger to the world of meds.

Also, it's beginning to dawn on me that my family is, one way or another, going to find out… Continue

A Poem - Magickal Tides

Mystical goddess of Magickal tides
Hear my heart and open my eyes
To the silent drum that beats within
All living things, I listen again
For your whispering voice within my ear
I open my arms and love without fear
The lessons you teach you’ve taught before
I cast away doubts and open the door
To live, to love, to be free at last
All negativity away I shall cast…

Very Interesting and other Tid bits

So I started my store and I plan a grand opening on Dec 1st. The website should be pretty complete. For now patrons can purchase the Tarot Readings that will be available online via Skype. WOOT! Other then that, for what ever reason I just started blurting about the store to a lady I work with and come to find out, she used to be in one of the local covens! I would have never thought... but something made me tell her about it. How odd is that? So she is interested in starting up a project and… Continue

Oh blogging...

For one of my classes (not WSI), I have to create a blog and maintain it for 3 months. Which (hopefully) won't be difficult. I'm having a hard time picking a topic. Something I'm interested and passionate about, but reserved enough to show to my class and teacher.

I have been toying with the idea of having a blog devoted to the seasonal holidays. For October have Halloween with sub-headings of history, fun recipes, and craft ideas. I would have plenty to write on and never…

It's been a while...

With Samhain/Shadowfest literally right around the corner, the veil has been thinning for a bit now and I am not the only one sensing and seeing the greater activity.

In the meantime, have been doing my studies and have been acing the tests. Have the opportunity at the moment to retake an exam of a first degree course that at the time, was a bit difficult and I failed back then. With this opportunity to retake it, I'm giving it another go.

The last year has been pretty busy… Continue

Haven't had much to say, been working on my story. I'm really into it. I've decided the ending finally, I was torn between two possible ones. Other than that, everything is pretty much the same. I love this site, there is so much love and support. I enjoy being able to converse with such lovely people and return all the love and support that has been given to me. Thank you everyone and may your lives be forever blessed!

Daily Reading for Thursday, 28 October, Year 10 Aq.

Thursday October 28

Here is our reading for today:

Nine of Cups

King of Cups

Two of Coins

Our first card today is the Nine of Cups. Called “The Wish Card” this is both the best card in the deck and the worst card in the deck at the same time, because it means that what we wish for is what we will get. That is, what we focus on. So it is important for us to focus on the positive and wish for the things we truly want, not… Continue

Gathering my tools

As a newbie to the Craft, or a witchling as others would call me, I am reading and trying to gain all the knowledge I can on the subject. I know that reading only will take me so far, to really be starting my path I need to act, or work, for in doing is Magik.

That being said, I'm starting to gather and make my magikal tools. The first one I have finished is my Pentacle. Here are some pictures of the creative process.…

new member!

I came to Paganism thru the study of Reiki (energywork) when i was taking massage therapist training in the late 90's. It activated my dormant psychic skills, i've been trying to learn & develop them more.

Daily Reading for Wednesday, 27 October, Year 10 Aq.

Wednesday October 27

Here is today’s reading:

King of Coins

Ten of Cups

We begin our reading today with the Emperor, a Major Arcanum that symbolizes cycles and reminds us that what goes up must come down, and vice versa. Whatever our current situation is, we must expect it to change as all things do –but if we can keep our eye on our long term goals we will be able to hold steady and move forward. Next we have… Continue
