Old #10 ...

Sometimes I pick up books just because the price … yeah, I know, not the best reason, and it's likely a character flaw, but I probably wouldn't have picked up a sports biography if it wasn't at a deep discount … so when I saw…

Legendary ...

OK, so this one came to me via's “Early Reviewer” program. I've had a good run of getting books assigned to me from that, but I must admit that some are more “on target” than others, and the way these are “won” is via a matching algorithm that takes the publisher's info…

2013 resolutions.

As the calendar comes closer to the end of this year, many of us prepare for the New Year by making resolutions to improve ourselves in the upcoming year. Now, I know that many people prefer not to use the term “resolutions” but I finding it fitting for myself. You could call them goals, self- improvement ideas…. Whatever you call it, it’s a list of actions you wish to incorporate into your daily life with the hope that it will improve your overall wellbeing.

I normally start around…

The Tao

These are the writings of the legendary Chinese mystic, Lao Tzu, which form the basis of Taoism, the original, indigenous form of spirituality in China.

Within the Tao, there is a natural synthesis, or interplay between feminine and masculine energies, or, if one prefers, the Yin and Yang. This is seen in the Diagram of the Supreme Ultimate.…

With or without a cause ...

OK, so I'd seen this referenced on Twitter or Facebook or G+ (or maybe in skywriting) and it sounded interesting, so I hit up the good folks at Pearson's QUE Publishing to get a review copy, and I'm glad I did. Now, I realize that for a lot of folks a book on email marketing might be somewhere…

The beauty of life my eyes see

Life isn't a game , life is a gift by the universe and art of God. Most people want to suicide because they ain't strong enough to deal with their problems and just want to give up. They are dishonoring the universe by ending their life. Sometimes I feel like taking such lunatic people to those people who are suffering from some serious disability and still wish to live , they got so many malfunctioning organs and other financial problems too yet they still want to live, why cant you? When I…

Asking for good energy in landlord issue

 Hello friends,

I'm having a very difficult time this holiday season. Really, since moving to Alaska.

When my husband and I first moved up here we looked for an apartment - it was hard as we hadn't rented before so we didn't have the needed renters history. We finally found a place and the landlord acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us move in. The first month we started having minor issues. The landlord still hadn't given us the smoke detector or CO2 alarm…

Lesson 2 Essay: The Crone

The Crone

In modern pop-culture, the Crone is seen as both Wicked Witch and Fairy Godmother. I believe that this is a concept not very far from the truth. The Crone, as the aspect of the Goddess, is the elder wise woman with knowledge of all magic.

In First Degree Lesson 2, Reverend Don Lewis describes the Crone as “the Great Sorceress” and “the Hallowe’en Witch.” For many, the Crone is the ideal…

"The Yule Fairies" A Winter Solstice Story...

A group of little Faeries huddled in their home deep under the roots of a giant oak tree. They were safe and snug in their tiny underground cave lined with dandelion fluff, bird feathers, and dried moss.

Outside, the wind blew cold and the snow fell softly down to cover the ground. "I saw the Sun King today," the faerie named Rose said as she pulled her mossy cloak tighter about her. "He looked so old and tired as he walked off through the forest. What is wrong with him?

Bringing You up to Date

Wow, I did not realize that it had been so long since I posted on here. My my how time does seem to fly past. A lot has happened since I last posted anything. I am really ashamed of myself for the lack of attention to my Witch School buddies.

I will start out by letting you know that I met someone through the Internet on Christmas Day 2001, we corresponded through e-mail several times until finally we were in contact through Skype and we had so much in common that it was just too good…

COIN for Brands

Maybe one of these days I'll have contacts at enough of the publishing houses that I'll be able to get review copies of pretty much anything that I run across that sounds interesting, and the current book would certainly have been a candidate for that. However, I ended up ordering this…

Santa Claus Is Pagan, Too

Oh, Santa Claus is Pagan too

Just like all the rest

And if you are a merry witch

He’ll bring you all the best

So get that star up on the roof

And bake those cookies too

Cause Christmas time is really Yule

And Santa’s Pagan too

He’s got that Buddha belly

And his Pops the Holly King

You’ve dressed him in that British Coat

The caps a Nordic thing

You took the horns right off his head

And stuck them on his deer

But he…
