Well here it is, Sunday evening. It's been a hard week. I'm setting here drinking a beer in front of the computer thinking back on it all. I started least weekend buy setting down and gathering my thoughts for my Beltane ritual. I'm afraid again this year it will be only me. Yup I still haven't completed it. Monday it was do battle with the tax man. Would you believe it I won , I think. Anyway in stead of the $72000 they said I owed them they now agree it really only $700.
I have to approach my husband again this week about separation 'thing.' I finally spoke with the owner our apartment building and he is willing to let me break the lease without financial repercussions. Thank you Goddess for hearing my cries for help with the lease issue!! Now that the lease issue is out of the way, approaching my spouse may prove scarier and harder.
As oppossum's medicine teaches, have common sense through this and that it is okay to shapeshift into the person I… Continue
Expanded from a tidbit given by Rev. Angie Buchanan at her "World's Parliament of Religions" workshop.
"We come into the world and breath.
It is how we define life, as soon as we take our first breath we live
That first breath the first cycle ~ Breath in Breath out
Second cycle ~ Day, sunrise to sunrise"
Third cycle ~ Month, moonrise to moonrise
Fourth cycle ~ Year, beginning to beginning
Fifth cycle ~ Life, from birth to birth
Keep your chips fresh and keep the bugs outside the bag!
• Paint and Brush
• Foam Insects
• Tacky Glue
Paint clothespins. Let dry. Glue on on foam insects. That's it!

It is funny how things and perspectives change with the changing of the seasons. I sat at the park yesterday while the kids were playing and it just hit me how wonderful things can be sometimes.
I am one of those people that just have the worst luck sometimes. If it can go wrong it does. We lost our house and have had to move in with my parents, my man got laid off of work so we are super broke, but, as I sat there yesterday and everyday that it has been nice lately I just thought to… Continue
Chris and I went to our local newage shop last weekend and picked up a few things. It is rare for him to want to go with me there, and even more rare for him to ask me to buy him something! I was elated to say the least. We went in looking for a new quartz point to create a crystal web access point in the backyard of our new house (we wound up buying two that were just SO pretty) Then, he found the rack of stone rings (and when we were first together we use to wear crystal rings but they kept… Continue

This is something I wrote a couple years ago I've posted this in several groups and thought I'd repost it here. I wrote it under the name Amaethon Cane.
I’m a being much like you with thoughts and feelings, likes and dislikes.
I have wisdom and knowledge that has yet to be tapped,
I’ve been various people in the past; a scholar, a poet, a warrior, a noble, a peasant.
I have been around for ages,
But even with all I’ve been and done… Continue

My original plans for this past weekend were to drive to Salem on Saturday for Lustration. Two months ago, we had a group rent the camp that was planning on 150 to 200 people. With those numbers, I resigned myself to having to stay at home to help with the kitchen work. I also asked my parents to watch Alex for the weekend, first so that I would be able to work and second because there were adult themes to the weekend.
I am now waiting for the DVD of the conference, since I had to… Continue
I'm reminded of the stories my grandmother told me about the Billy Goat's Gruff. As they tried to make their way across a bridge, they were eaten by a troll who lived underneath. Scared the crap out of me. But these same nightmares have a way of moving into a coven. Little by little, they begin to devour the good, the peace, the unity that once held the group together.
At first in the guise of a new member; she seems to fit right in, then destruction begins with a deception here, a… Continue
I really am horrible at keeping up with my online family. Oh, I read emails and blog posts and such. But for me to actually write something about ME on a blog? It's a rarity. I have a blog for my store that I've been neglecting for the past couple months as my health has taken a downturn. The rest of my blogs, including a local Ning group and my covenspace and paganspace blogs, have been ignored completely. I just don't have the time and when I do have the time, I don't remember as I'm too busy… Continue
Let me preface this by saying, first and foremost, that my brother-in-law has always been a disagreeable excuse for a human being, and my being honest about who I am just gives him more fuel for what was already a pretty strong fire to begin with. You see, he doesn't like me, and I don't like him. The first time I ever met him, I was doing a focus group as part of a school project (a Master's degree level class in Social Work with people with HIV/AIDS) and had put some chairs into a circle so… Continue
I look out from behind camouflage
You don’t see Me watching you
I am the evil that you seek
I smell you, you reek with unnatural aromas
You thought I was innocent?
I am the evil that you seek
My muscles quiver with adrenaline
You are unaware of my stalking you
My first touch a might swipe
That brings you to your knees
Now you pray to the God you had
Before you switched for fashion
You played at what for me was deadly passion
Lip pouts, feet kick, arms reach
It is time
Lay down my impatient one
Toes needle hip bones
Delicate digits brush skin
Examine chest and breast
Strong rhythmic pull of tongue
Contrasts erratic excited breath
Now it comes
Announced with approving grunts
Demand for the second teat
Finally sweet sounds of sleep
The Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) has a bone to pick with Michelle Obama. MACA represents chemical companies that produce pesticides, and they are angry that — wait for it — Michelle Obama isn't using chemicals in her organic garden at the White House.
I am not making this up.
In an email they forwarded to their supporters, a MACA spokesman wrote, "While a garden is a great idea, the thought of it being organic made [us] shudder." MACA… Continue
Take action, then hear the wolf howl.
It’s going to take a national outcry to block the massacre of hundreds of wolves in Idaho and Montana -- which could start as early as May 4 when their federal protections are removed..
Speak out now against the killing. Add your voice to The Big Howl, NRDC’s new rapid-response mobilization… Continue
I just got a box containing my new book from Llewellyn!
The Goddess is in the Details is my favorite book so far--all about how to integrate your spiritual beliefs as a pagan with your everyday life. Lots of practical suggestions on how to "walk your talk" every day. If you want to be a witch 24/7, not just on the Sabbats and Full moons, this is the book for you!
