A New Site- Same Old Me!

Hey all! It's me again!

So, I just signed up on this site since Blog of Shadows is closing down *tear* and I am LOVING it! It's so fancy! Now all I have to do is get all my friends from BOS to be my friends on this site and I'll be set- I love all of my friends!

So I'm gonna keep up with my blogging here on this site as well. I think I may actually take a few of my blogs from BOS and re-post them here; just to see where I've been and how I've progressed, which I think is… Continue

New, fresh, clean and ready

I've been a WSI student for a couple of years but haven't finished the First Degree course, yet. I keep stalling when I try and get past lesson 4.... This new Ning network came at a great time for me. I've been unemployed and a bit depressed for a while but recently have been feeling better and more positive about life. I'm breaking out my text book again and looking forward to working on my next lesson.

Voices at the Table

When we speak of the Pagan community you get a lot of different voices and definitions of what the community really is or what it should be. With only minimum economic infrastructure and limited central concentrations of members it does not look like a culturally independent community. Instead the community appears more as a political party where each voice must be seated at the table and given due respect. From Solitaires to Tradition Leaders, from Coven Priestess or Priest to Witch Royalty,… Continue

Pagan Protest, by Dayala Stardancer, RSA

Do you understand

That i will not be confined

I will not be restricted

By your expectations and your conventions.

I will not chain my soul and conform

To fit your rigid ideals

I will not say what you want me to say

I will be free and embrace my destiny

I will not be what you want me to be

I’m out there where angels fear to tread

It’s the only way i know

I will taste… Continue

My Spiritual Journey

I was born in Jacksonville, Florida in the mid 1970s, a place where a large Baptist mega-church plays a dominant role in local politics, and where, just twenty years earlier, a strong vein of anti-Semitism was evidenced in signs in storefronts that said things like “No Dogs or Jews Allowed”. Not that I was Jewish, no, my family were predominantly Baptist, with a small number of exceptions – an atheist grandfather, two Catholic great-grandparents, and a handful of Methodists, and then in the… Continue

Chakra Podcast, A Recommendation

Energy work is not my strong point. In fact, I tend to look at the excercises at the end of each lesson of the First Degree program with a small amount of trepidation.

Even though I've been involved in Wicca as a solitary for years, I've never really learned to meditate or direct energy. Taking the First Degree course is the first time I've been really challenged to learn to do this. I didn't have much luck. So I decided the smart thing for me to do was to go back a step or two and… Continue

Books I'm Currently Reading

While other people are enjoying spring, here in Minnesota we still have days like today when the rain can't decide if it wants to be in its liquid or semi-solid state. There's just something about seeing snowflakes outside my window (when it's almost April!) that makes me want to curl up with a good book.

Several months ago, I checked out a book from the library that really blew the top off my witchy-head. It's a book by Patricia Monghan called… Continue

Just a strange thought. Does anyone else have such ease in grounding is dual elements. Usually, or maybe I should say - from what I've experienced; most people ground in one of two ways. They either ground by planting roots (so to speak) or relaxing in their own element.

I must be odd ball, as I can "Ground" in dual elements.

Wow!... I didn't realize how long that it had been since my last post. Gee-wizzp- just goes to show you, just how fast time flies!

Got a hair cut today... not too thrilled with it. I'll work with it and see how it does... don't know if I'm going to be alright with it or not. Oh well, 2 weeks always solves the issue...

Working on my second degree program still... have alot to do in my mundane life and it never seems to end. Maybe I'll dye my hair green or something. I'm… Continue

Feeling Better

Good Morning All!

It is a sunny day were I'm at. It's sunny but very cool; the wind brisk to the point of Nitro-freezing bones! *chuckles* a bit of humor and true. The wind is very bitting today.

On the up side it is very good to be over being sick!

My family has been sharing our germs... we all help the other get better and as a reward we get took care of when it passes to the ones that did the Caring.

Well, I look at it as 1) a great way to struggle… Continue

Why isn't it Colder!

Did you you know that the colder it gets the more germs are killed! So, although I prefer the warmer weather, given that it is November-I want Coldness here!!!

Why? you wonder... because I am TIRED of being Sick!!

I still have a temperature! I still have aches and pains and sore throat and such... I want to get better and I can't go to the Doctor's ( no insurance and not in the budget... very little money extra anyway!!!)

So with it being November in Kentucky...… Continue

Magical Notes

Friends are great. It is a wonderful friend who lets one borrow a book for over a month or more and never mentions having you return it. It shows trust! What is even better is that when that friend brings back the book that was borrowed!

Why this comment?

I borrowed a book from a friend... I have had it for about a month. Not once has she asked for it back. Not once has she Hinted that I would not bring it back...

She know s that I've been sick and she is a very… Continue

The Magic

If anyone tells you that you really shouldn't do magic while sick... LISTEN!

Besides, Why would you want to something that takes so much energy, when you haven't got it to spare. Your body's energy is needed in order to help get you better. Those times you are sick. Those are the times that your body is telling you that it needs a rest. So, listen to you body and rest and get better.

Also, the more that you concentrate on getting better the quicker you are… Continue

So, that no one misunderstands. I'm not feeling great today. Oh, Well. It has to do with Sharing, the ultimate sweetness. All those bugs and germs that go around this time of the year (amoung many times of the year...) that are shared between school children, who then share with their families... Yah... not. My family is really sick (sorry, no pun intended there.) of this specific type of sharing. Don't… Continue
