Pagan News and Views Since 1998

As a dedicated clergy and servant in the Pagan community, I have seen many changes in our community throughout the last thirty to forty years. Never in our history have we had such an opportunity as we have now, during this pandemic, to reach out and start some necessary conversations. This is our time to shine in the world and make ourselves known. Many fear a reprisal from the world and its many forces but I quote a saying I heard many moons ago that rings true even today. “Ships are beautiful sitting peacefully in the harbor, but that’s not what ships were designed to do.” A simple statement that rings true to the fact that we can hide ourselves but we will never grow to our full potential.

Many times throughout our history, there have been battles both internal and external. This has caused separation solely based on judgment and personal beliefs. We can no longer be divided by our differences on any level. We are children of the Divine. This doesn’t mean we can’t have different beliefs but that we should celebrate those differences. Our own Divine spirit is a multi-faceted one, representing itself to each of us on a personal level.

Right now while most are sitting home, isolated from the world, we could be communicating via social media on my platforms. For those of you who don’t socialize much, I encourage you to come out and post anything. Photos, writings, anything of value that shows your place in the Pagan community. Every single member of our worldwide community is valuable. That being said, please make an effort to check on each other and support each other during these trying times. We have survived a millennia of difficult times through our ancestors. I sincerely believe we can do so now.

Someone sent an invitation to this blog to my e-mail. There are so many social media places where Wiccans and other Pagans communicate. It's hard to find Wiccans or Pagans who don't mix partisan political advocacy with their religious practice.

Greybeard,
I don't do the mixing of anything political in my blogs or my men's group. My path is for spiritual enrichment and growth. Please feel free to comment anytime!

Unity is the key. We're here for each other. That's what making circles and exploring the path of magic is about.
