Pagan News and Views Since 1998

Well, I started this path a while ago, but life got in the way and it fell to the wayside. I am now going to try to do my year and a day and do as much training as I can. Then, once I understand the Wiccan path and am comfortable, I will do a self dedication. I would love it if I could find like-minded people in my area here, but I have no idea how to go about it. If you THINK a person may be a wiccan... how do you find out? Just come right out and introduce yourself and ask them? Seems kind of strange, but this is a thought I have often. Maybe I will be able to find friends through witchschool.

This is only my opinion, but I would caution u abt being too quick to approach acquaintances w/ ur path. Perhaps if u see 'obvious' clues as pentagram jewelry, CDs by Wiccan performers, or books in their possession. I live in the middle of the Bible Belt so I personally have found that revealing too much too soon can have negative consequences. Follow ur heart, trust ur instincts, because while I suggest caution- u also do not want to miss like minded ppl who may be being sent to u by the Goddess. We also tend to draw other Witches to us naturally when we begin to study and practice. Bottom line, just be careful. Enjoy this lifelong journey. BB
