This has been a transformational week. We cleaned out the house last weekend. Filled a dumpster and donated four car loads to goodwill. Monday we finished laundry and packed what we want for the next five months. Tuesday morning the mover showed up to pack up our house. Within eight hours everything was boxed. That night we moved into my parent’s house. Early Wednesday the movers were back to clear everything out. By early afternoon, my house was bare. We walked out for the last time.
Thursday the closing happened and the house is no longer ours. We didn’t make any money, but we no longer need to worry overselling it and repairing it.
Almost two weeks ago, I want sure how we were going to get by. Today, we are moving toward a better future. I feel confident in this future that my husband and I will forge for our family.
