Pagan News and Views Since 1998
As you may know, I am a strong supporter of the Common Book of Wicca and Witchcraft project. The idea of this project is to create a book of magic, ceremony and theological commentary that will be in the public domain, and which can be distributed far and wide. I hope that you will join me in supporting this project at WitchLibrary.com.
Moreover, as Correllians this project offers us a unique opportunity to share our spiritual viewpoint with the wider world, and a chance to showcase the great talent of our membership.
A generation ago my mother, the Beloved LaVeda, wrote her book, The Five Mystic Secrets. In this book my mother wrote about the five principles that she considered central to the Correllian understanding of spirituality. In so doing she expressed a uniquely Correllian point of view, and created what many consider the most fundamental Correllian document.
These Five Mystic Secrets are: Knowledge, God, Life, The Soul, and Freedom. A full generation of Correllians has studied these writings. It is my hope that we can now take this occasion to begin to express what this book and these ideas mean to us.
We have been blessed with a highly talented membership, including many skilled writers. I am hereby asking for the submission of Commentary on The Five Mystic Secrets: Essays speaking to the meaning and importance of the book itself, or the nature of the Five Principles themselves. I know that you can amaze me with your insights, and it will do my heart good to hear our people speak to this.
The best of these essays are intended to be included, along with The Five Mystic Secrets itself, in The Common Book of Wicca and Witchcraft, for the express purpose of sharing the Correllian viewpoint with the world. It was my mother's belief, and is mine, that the spiritual growth of the individual leads to the spiritual growth of the world as a whole, and so sharing our knowledge benefits us all.
As a people we have so much to offer and this is one more way to add our voice to the world, and to increase the greater Pagan knowledge base. If you are interested, send your submission for consideration to me at DonLewisHP@aol.com and CC to Edward Hubbard at EdThePagan@aol.com
I ask you to ask yourself, “Now that decades have passed since this book was written what can we add to this timeless wisdom? “
This project is bigger than just this important moment, it is for our future.
May You Blessed Be,
