I left WitchSchool and my work on my 2nd degree because I felt the need for a community of others who wanted to study and learn more about Wicca. I decided to check out the Black Forest Clan. At first I was very excited and interested because it was something new for me; Wicca Companionship. The held rituals on the Sabbats and encouraged us to attend classes every other week. Then things began to change. The classes were being held each and every week and we were mandated to attend. The lessons were not really interesting because they were not being taught by those with 3rd and 2nd degrees, but by people who were just members or even brand new to the clan. Everyone was directed to teach a class. I found that the classes were not very informative. The topic of the class was read to everyone there while you followed along in the handout, but there was no practicle accompanying the lecture. What good is it to lecture on a subject like "shielding" without also teaching you how to actually shield yourself, your possessions or others around you. We were never taught anything on magick because it was against the rules to teach anything magickal to anyone who had not been dedicated. Yet, they kept bringing in new people and didn't not seperate them from those who had been dedicated and wanted to learn. The group became so large so fast that there began to not have enough room to hold a ritual. And on top of this, the rituals were boring and never raised any energy within their circles. They do not cast a circle with energy but just announced that the circle had been cast. I have given this path 18 monts and tried very hard to become involved and progress up the ranks. I have become so discouraged and disillusioned that I doubt I will complete this path. I have retured to WitchSchool and will try to complete what I started. I only hope that one day I will be able to find others who are Corillian Nativists and living in the Houston-The Woodlands/Spring area to meet, become friends who would be willing to discuss ideas and beliefs. I will keep you informed on my progress to this path once every week. Until then, Blessed Be.
