Mocksville North Carolina is located in Davie county and has a population of around 5,000 people. This is also one of my favorite locations to check out cruise-ins and events. They have a lovely cruise-in during the summer not to mention all the concerts in the park.
My second favorite activity in Mocksville, after the cruise-in, has to be their Art Crawl! This is geared towards the younger crowd. There are so many stations. Glass painting, water gun art, string art, canvas painting, clay molding and a few others. Not to mention they provided water and a clown.
There are quite a few concerts in the square during the summer evenings as well. There is a beautiful water fountain and the public restrooms are by far some of the cleanest and up to date that I have seen in any town. I really like the fact that I can go to the restroom without worrying if I have to find a restaurant or shop that is open.
So far the eats here are quite delicious as well. My favorite has to be Restaurant 101. They have a killer sandwich and their tea is peak! The service is excellent. They offer outdoor and indoor seating both seem nice. I enjoy the outside tables myself so that I can check out what's going on the square while I eat! So far it's my favorite place to grub!
All in all it's a lovely clean town with beautiful scenery. I love the fountain and the easily accessible restrooms. So far I really haven't found a downside to this town. The only thing that I can even think of that might be a downside would be that I have found during holidays most of the restaurants seem to shut down. It took us forever to find a place to eat over the forth of July. Other than that, which is completely understandable, it's a winner in all ways!
