Pagan News and Views Since 1998

Greetings everyone,

One of my resolutions for the New Year is to do more blogging. In particular I am going to be doing a daily reading via blog. Beginning January 1, I will be drawing and interpreting three cards each day to divine the general energy of that day. This is part of a wider emphasis I am planning to put on the psychic arts in the New Year.

I think that this will be very exciting, although it is difficult too. I have never been a person who journaled –spilling my thoughts out on paper is difficult for me. If I am writing about a subject it is easy enough, but “thoughts of the day” is a bit of a challenge. Those of you who know me well will know that this is also how I speak –I have never been one to say whatever crosses my mind. I tend to be very deliberate in my words.

Of course blogging is not like that –if it is to be done regularly it must be done quickly, and does not necessarily consist of highly polished gems of literature. The good blogger is one who can express their thoughts quickly and in an accessible way. So it will be a challenge for me –but a good challenge.

Now as I start this blogging idea, I am not sure what all it will entail. I have definitely decided on the daily reading, but I also want to speak to various issues and perhaps discuss some of the various events I attend. Perhaps I should resurrect the old “Interactive Grimoire” idea, addressing questions about various arcane subjects. I am curious to know what types of things you might like for me to discuss, or what you would like to see in this blog. What would be interesting to you? Please share your ideas with me.

In any event look for the daily reading to begin on 1 January. Three cards to help discern the energies of the day, so that we can attune to and better work with them.

Blessings all,
Rev. Don

Nice! I think it would be great if you could blog about magical people. Some people have never heard of Waite, Dee, Crowley, etc. and I think it would a good informative read as well as a chance for people to get involved in the topic and ask questions or even offer their own perspective and evidence about the person being discussed. Just a thought. :O)

Lovely idea, we will love to know what's on your mind right in the moment... But hey! It might be hard for you to sit down and write your ideas, but they are beautiful on paper! Thousands of us have confirmed that by reading your courses!! love and blessings, dear brother! )O(

I think that is a wonderful idea.....and I also know that it will be a BIG challenge for you, but I know you can do it.

I would like to hear more about our Ancestors(tradition) and Historical magical people.

I think this is a great idea! Sometimes it's nice to hear from people 'off the cuff' as it were! We get a little more of the person when the writing is unpolished!

I look forward to making this part of my dail routine!

Warmest blessings!

Congratulations, Lord Don!
Please, don't let us abuse of you! LoL Because if it depended on us, we would have you writing day and night without any pause! As my colleagues have said, we have demonstrated how much we adore your writings! So watch out!
Many have already recommended things I would very much like to read on: Our Correllian Ancestors, tales from their (and your) childhood; writing on the great magickal biographies; etcetera.

But a word, or an advice if you would like: As you have said, you don't have to write great operas each time you blog... A simple thought, tip, link to an interesting site, a comment on a book, a prayer, a movie review, a dream with its interpretation, etcetera, could perfectly do the job many days! Little jewels for us that do not represent any extra burden for you!

Many blessings and thank you's!!!
